"Area is very quiet. Rooms are much larger than the usual hotel. Hallways and rooms are very clean. Less than an hour from Fredericksburg and only minutes from 290 & Johnson City. This is our second stay here on our visits to Fredericksburg, Luckenbach and the general area. Will definitely stay again on any future trips to this area instead of staying in the Fredericksburg area."

"Charming and quaint, comfortable and great hospitality. A little drive from Freidricksburg which turned out to be a great surprise because the hotel and town of Comfort and more charm than Freidricksburg."

"Loved everything about my stay except check in. Very rude hotel guest starting berating me saying he'd booked the place for the weekend. He demanded to see my phone to confirm my reservation. This was another guest! Overall though, great place"

"Late booking for a single night, so I am very thankful the cottage was available. We were coming from a wedding in Sisterdale so arrived late - around midnight. First issue was the inconsiderate guest in the Tesla who took up two parking spaces leaving us nowhere to park without blocking everyone but in the driveway. Second issue is there is a lack of signage and a visible path or walkway to the cottages. The landscaping while very lush in the daylight is too overgrown and made it difficult to find our way to the front door of the cottage. Once inside all was fine, except pillows on the bed are too firm and uncomfortable. Interesting place out of a Grimm's fairy tale, if you are looking for something off the beaten path with an abundance of German-inspired decor this is the place."
