"Well what can I say. A gem of a hotel. The owner was always super helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Stunning location. Room compact, but beautifully furnished. Lovely soft towels. The bed was very comfortable. Very good shower. 2mi utes from the harbour. We had a room which was labelled as "a Mountain View but we could see the whole inlet.
Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough."
"A very nice, family run private hotel with friendly owners. Old school with really good upgraded bath rooms. Close to the beach and ten minutes walk to the port. Breakfast had pretty much most things you might want. And get this - a 24 hour honesty bar! A full bar, take what you need and leave whatever you think is fair. That tells you everything about the way they run the hotel. Μπράβο!"
"If you want magic, you’ve found it! A short walk to Kamare but you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. The rooms tuck into the hillside like hobbit warrens. The smell of jasmine, roses, lemons and herbs fills the air, towering mountains and the sun setting over the sea complete the heavenly scene.
Breakfast is next level and never disappoints! The bus stop is right across the street and can connect you to other parts of the island, making exploring easy. Maria also hooked me up with an all day private tour with Christina! Do it! It was fabulous!!!"
"This one-year old, beautifully appointed property is first rate. Its location is on the shore across the bay from the ferry port in Serifos port town Kamari with gorgeous views of the town, mountains and sea. If you have a car and plan to explore Serifos this place is ideal. A nice parking lot with a space reserved for your suite. The suites themselves are perfectly designed and executed. The Junior Suite I occupied had a private plunge pool, private patio - both with great view plus sun and shade. The room had AC ( did not need), overhead fan, sliding door to pool, automated black out curtain, built in phone chargers, full kitchen, separate shower, separate toilet (with laundry), large TV and the right storage space. And the price was very competitive."
"Hotel looks over the old town Kastro and olive groves. Nice and neat relax pool. Even gym. Hotel staff are very helpful. Breakfast baskets delivered to the room was such delight touch. We enjoyed our stay and wish we have more time to spend."
"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was lovely and had a comfortable bed and a great shower. Everything was very clean. We had our own seating area outside with a small pool to sit in, which was great to come back to after a long walk.
Smaragdi is in Artemonas, away from the coast and right next to the main town of Apollonia. Both towns were lovely to have a wander through and there were enough restaurant nearby, although some were just opening up in May. You can walk to Apollonia in about 15 minutes. There is a lovely path through both towns and I would recommend using that as opposed to walking down the road, which we did the first time.
There was a map of the area at the bus stop, showing a variety of short walks too. We choose a longer one that we found on Alltrails.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone there for a great stay. Breakfast, which we had included, was fantastic and very substantial. Highly recommend."
"NOS es maravilloso, las habitaciones y todo en general hermoso, la atención, la comida, de verdad una gran experiencia. Ayuda en todo momento si quieres encontrar una playa cercana que hay tres muy lindas, taxi para ir a las villas o encontrar una masajista, estupendo, me voy agradecida y con ganas de volver."
