next door, it was nice to see wildlife (daily visit from the monkeys) and we enjoyed the water taxis into Tortuguero. I’d either pay extra to stay at Evergreen (cabins liked a lot nicer) or stay in...

"Tortuguero is such a cute town! We weren’t sure we wanted to make the drive but we loved it. The boat ride from La Pavona is beautiful and the town is great for walking around and shopping. We took a guided night hike and saw a turtle laying eggs on the beach! The staff were very nice and helpful and the air conditioning in the rooms was nice. Only stayed one night but loved it!"
