"The checking in was brilliant, we arrived in the morning and they gave us our key early as we were not going to be needing our room until later as we were attending a wedding in a nearby village. Everything was as you would expect however the bed was not!! They had put a king size mattress on a double bed. Unbeknown to me I turned over while I was asleep and fell out hurting myself!! The mattress was not supported by anything under it and it was overlapping my side of the bed by about 9...

"This is a lovely hotel to stay at. The pictures don't really do it justice. Courtney the owner up graded us to a larger room as the room that was allocated via the website was very small. Everything was very clean and was supplied with adequate tea,coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. These were topped up every day. The room was cleaned and the bed made up daily. "We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. "
