"I told the front desk staff that we were very sensitive to noise and the lady at front desk gave me the room on the first floor right next to the public bathrooms. I asked whether this was going to be quiet, and she reassured me and said yes. People were using that bathroom since 6:30 am, and I could hear everything. Maybe it was my fault for trusting her but please maybe just be a little more thoughtful next time. Btw, there were other rooms available. Also breakfast eggs tasted funky. "

"Positives--free parking, excellent breakfast, very clean, microwave, refrigerator Negatives--no restaurant as advertised--just chips & candy for sale. The reason we chose this hotel was because it had an onsite restaurant. We had to crawl on the floor to get the refrigerator turned on. There was no soap in the bathroom, but a soap dish--the housekeeper didn't have any--we had to go to the front desk for a simple bar of soap???? Fire alarm in the middle of the night left us outside for over...

"Staff were pleasant and helpful. I selected this hotel because it advertised a restaurant onsite. It does not. Breakfast is self-service like most restaurants, but there is NOT a restaurant. There is what looks like a bar with hours posted, but it wasn't open once. I even confirmed with hotel staff. There is no restaurant on site."

The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! I’m excited to continue to visit this fantastic addition to the uva community!"

"The room I reserved was not available I got a room on the second floor and had a hard time getting up and down the stairs and was told there were no first floor rooms available. No elevator on the property."

"Yes they were very to me in my needs when I need towels or rags or extra toilet paper or anything like that they were there they let me stay until 12:00 for check out time rather than 11:00 and I love the room it was nice and clean"

"Property is fine if you're looking for a cheap place to crash when in town for a show. Bring an air freshener as the bleach smell in the room is strong. Could be worse at least it's clean. "

"I am not typically a bed and breakfast person, but the reviews and location tempted me into booking. I am so glad I did. From checking in with the host, to the quaint and well kept room, to the fabulous location and of course the incredible breakfast - everything was wonderful. Do not hesitate to book here, you absolutely will love it."
