"Decent breakfast selection, good staff, close to shopping and transit making it a convenient location. Pool and hot tub good. Everything was clean. Beds were not the most comfortable, but not so bad as to be a dealbreaker. "

"Air conditioner was broken and sealed on a very hot day. Sheets n such weren't cleaned or if they had was poorly done as stains were visible. Lowkey slept more on the couch. Shower drain was clogged. If I had to give an overall rating I would rather just pay extra staying elsewhere"

"I never write reviews, but I am today, because you must avoid this hotel. Our safety was threatened. This extremely run down establishment is in a shady part of town. There were gang members starring us down when we got there. We saw a woman trying to break into a car with a Slim Jim, in plain daylight, in the parking lot. The hotel attendants are protected by a cage. The lobby smelled like strong disinfectant to hide urine smell. Every customer scared us. There were (what appeared to be stolen)...

"Room was large and bed comfortable. The kitchen area was stocked with all the needed crockery, cutlery and pots/pans. Self-parking is in an open lot. However, it is close to the hotel. The parking in the hotel proper requires too much attention to daily rates and timing. I did not want to expend calories on this but it is a viable option if you have the inclination."

"A boutique hotel in Currie barracks I didn’t know existed. Was very handy to stay there after a late concert at the Grey Eagle. Rooms to be expected, big enough for the bed and your stuff and a small toilet & step in shower."

Negative: inadequate sound-proofing; uneven responsiveness by under trained staff when dealing with issues. In specific, I contacted the front desk in the evening after arriving on Saturday afternoon to inform them of extremely rowdy neighbours who were persistently treating the hallway as a loud bar. "Small room overall. Shower wand was broken. The hallway was incredibly hot and had an unpleasant odor. They added a previously undisclosed $220.00 fee for the stay which was a surprise on arrival and was over and above the pre-paid 2 night stay for $433.98. All-in all, not worth the stay and will look elsewhere in the future."
