"Nick was so welcoming when we booked a room late at night. Love that! We needed to stay nearby Kaiser hospital for a one night stay. Room was clean and bed comfortable. The AC and toilet are a bit loud but I’m a light sleeper. The pool needs cleaning! Good value for a quick stay."

"Our only complaint is the noise. Regular sounds of nearby Lawrence Expressway, especially when a motorcycle would rev up. The other sound issue was simply that guests have no clue how loud they are in the hallways or when they walk with "thunder feet" in their room. It was impressive that even with carpeted floors, we heard likely every step of the person or people above us. The noise level is my only hesitation of returning to this property."

"All in all our stay was great, however, there was one little problem with the step next to building two. That step is a fall waiting to happen. There should be some railing or a bollard to provide something something for people with balance issues. The decline in front of the step and the decline after the step made it terrifying for me. My husband very likely would have fallen but I was able to drop him off in front of the lobby so he didn’t have to go up that step. Otherwise, our stay was great"

"we were pleasantly surprised. You could think Sterling Inn was just a traditional motor lodge, but everything looked brand new. Structure, furniture, linens, everything was sparkling. The host was friendly and funny. We even appreciated the small touch that the parking area had no curb up to the doors, making access for disabled folks and luggage easier."

"Good, clean, simple motel, well-located right in Santa Clara. The room was clean and easy to use. The spring on the bed were damaged on one side (which was fine) but otherwise the room was in good shape. It's a bit annoying that one cannot have the blinds open without giving up on privacy entirely (other people walk by the window to get to their room) but that's often the case at motels. Overall, a clean, affordable place to stay."
