"This hotel is a bit more rustic than perhaps the profile shows. The staff are nice, rooms clean though quite dark, shower water is warm not hot. One important thing to note: if you have mobility issues, this is not the hotel for you. It’s a bit of a walk that tuktuks and cars cannot cover, and uneven stairs up a bit of a hill. They have a jacuzzi but it’s a bit expensive to use (200Qs for an hour)."

And the easy access to the lake and boat rides to local towns was super convenient. Everyone treated us like we were special guests, in a comfortable and good way. We’ll be back someday for sure!"

It is also very close to the park/nature reserve which was great. It is close to the dock to catch the boats to the other towns on the lake as well. We enjoyed the spa’s sauna and cold plunge and the food at the restaurant was very good. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We loved San Marcos and this hotel and would definitely stay here again."
