I was shocked to find out that taxi cabs cost anywhere from 40-70 euro for such a short distance. "Everything was excellent—we were met outside just as we pulled in, white glove treatment from the moment we walked in; fine dining was excellent, the hotel was like a museum, so beautiful, surrounded by lemon trees. Shops, restaurants, cafes, just around the block and the lift to the ferry is a 5 minute walk. Continental breakfast was excellent and WiFi was decent. Staff beyond lovely. "The location and the gardens were beautiful. Although we didn’t have the higher priced ocean views we did have a nice view of the fabulous gardens pool and city. The hotel is vintage but very clean and very well appointed. The breakfast was fantastic with both hot food fresh fruit, cereals and a wide variety of breads meats and pastries. The wait staff was very friendly and the view from the restaurant is amazing. I would recommend this hotel."
