It looked very dindgy. The bed was ok but No Hot Water at all. Bathroom Very old. This property needs a major renovation. Breakfast servers were great. Food was ok. Dinner was very good. We had the Italian restaurant. More great service. 👍. This trip served our purpose as we had to fly back home and was a quick drive to the airport. Thanks again. K & R"

The location of the hotel is close to a shopping mall, so you always have that option available to you. Finally, the view from the breakfast area was truly inspiring. I would return, no doubt!"

"Overall, our stay at Barceló San José was okay. The hotel, rooms, and lobby were clean, and the staff was nice. However, the pool area could use better maintenance since there were a lot of leaves and debris, especially in the kiddie pool. The hotel also feels a bit outdated. Breakfast was just okay — it would be nice to have more variety and international food options for guests from different countries."
