Superior Room, Ocean View Room reasonably large with space for 2 people to move around comfortably. Plain balcony. Small, but very nice, bathroom with toilet and quite a large shower – could do with an extractor fan; window not as effective. Ocean view room means the opposite side of the hotel to pool and activities area, which means quieter. Nice beach and ocean view is over the hotel car park and a road of low rise beach front apartments. Very little noise from outside. Higher floor probably has better view and quieter. We were on the 4th floor and the view was pretty good, and were not bothered by any noise. Lots of wardrobe, cupboard and drawer space. 40+ inch TV. Several UK channels. Six digit safe in the wardrobe is just big enough for my 15.6 inch laptop. Wifi 10 mbps up / 10 mbps down in room. Wifi connection with room number is a bit hit and miss, but reception has a work around. Aircon fan was a little noisy, but it didn't stop us from sleeping. The aircon cooled the room fine. Double curtains kept out light very well. Hotel in general: Could do with more no smoking areas and more clearly sign posted. Good WiFi signal everywhere in hotel, even on my cheapo tablet. Excellent and very extensive breakfast buffet with a little table service. All staff and services were **excellent**, and staff were always very helpful. A large variety of activities and excursions can be booked from the concierge desk. Italian restaurant good. Rather good cabarets every night at bar.

I have stayed here three times in three years. Without doubt the best food in a hotel in the area. In fact probably the best continually top quality food I’ve ever had in any hotel (and really most restaurants all over the world). It is a joy to have dinner. Breakfast is wonderful too. The pools are heated to 28 degrees and all 3/4 are lovely. Staff enjoy their jobs. Service is perfect. It is a quiet, top class hotel with gardens and tranquility. Nothing else like it in the area.

Heaven and hell

l In the beginning of our stay we experienced a very nice hotel with good service and food … but at the last 3 days of our stay of 7 seven days especially the main restaurant could not handle the arrival of a lot of new guests. Stressed waiters and chiefs and everyone else . No or unpolite service. Everyone at the hotel did what was possible but they were just understaffed- by far. - The only reason we did not leave was we did not no where to go. But again the first period of our stay was very nice.

Our last stay could not meet all of our expectations considering the pricing and standard of this hotel. Therefore, we decided to rather not return again. Please see below a list of positive and negative observations during our stays: food served was tasty staff were very friendly overall bathrooms in good condition hotel pools and garden are real highlights - some staff seem to lack service orientation and seemed a little too unmotivated in their roles - pigeons are lovely animals and a symbol of peace - however, observing daily and frequent fights of up to 5 pigeons on different breakfast tables around us was too much. Removing all leftover foods as soon as guests have left and not only after breakfast is closed would help a lot to prevent this sort of entertainment. - one night we found a cockroach in our room. Reporting this at the reception we were told the cockroach was removed from the room - when we returned it was still there, happy and healthy, so this statement was a lie. Our impression was that staff did not take our issue seriously. The next day we found a dead cockroach in the corridor which remained there until our departure 2 days later.
