This is the first and only time I’ve rated a hotel. I often book thru Expedia and usually love IHG properties. However, this particular one was horrible and I would not return nor recommend. The surrounding area was nice, the staff was friendly and you could tell the property had recent renovations. Breakfast was horrible so I only had coffee and a few potatoes.
As for my room, I stayed in 428 which was not cleaned. I pulled out the let out coach in the living room area which had stains of blood on it, a left behind hair clip and hair from the previous stay. The bathroom was not clean and the tub had bad stains. There was dirty left ice in the freezer. When I addressed these concerns to the hotel I was eventually moved to room 420 which was a little better but not by much.
I was told I could not be financially compensated since I booked thru a third party. When I filed a complaint with Expedia I was told they would negotiate a refund thru the hotels manager. I eventually got an email from Expedia explaining they could not in touch with the hotel manager and therefore nothing could be done. I am highly disappointed as this hotel stay was over $500.00.
