I don’t mind a cheap old motel that gets the job done, but these remodeled Motel 6’s are not an improvement. This particular room had grimy vinyl floors, cool-white LED lighting, a metal bed frame that squeaked loudly with every movement, and a touchy AC unit that made the experience unusually uncomfortable. The overall vibe was stingy; no shampoo or conditioner in the room, only 2 pillows on the queen bed, and when I checked in I had to fill out a form verifying I had no other adults/kids/pets with me. The same room with clean floors, shampoo in the shower, warm lighting, and more welcoming atmosphere would have been a significantly better experience.

Room / booking policy was not consistent with other Motel 6 that we’ve stayed at. It was not even consistent with the policy on their website. The family had to be separated because of this - and additional accommodation plans had to be made at 11.45 pm when we came back from an event. Our pets were considered as “persons” and part of occupancy count. This meant last minute scramble for additional accommodations - because they did not have an additional room available. This also meant 1 of us had to be separated from the family. All this at 11.45 pm. I called Motel 6 toll free number, and there was another location in the area that would accommodate us in 1 room. So this is not a standard policy, contrary to what the manager said.

We had our dog so we got a back room facing the freeway so it was super loud, bring earplugs! No coffee or breakfast. Security parking gate wasn’t closed all night, we got there at midnight and gate was open. Lots of homeless out in streets, but that wasn’t a problem. Front desk lady was being friendly but over talking when I just wanted to get in my room.

It was for me a very pleasant 6 days stay in this motel. Staff were very friendly and super polite. Check-in and check-out easy and quick. Room was clean and had a comfy bed. Screen in window allowed me to sleep with a fresh air. Didn't even need to use AC. It was my first visit in Sacramento and I am already looking forward to come back here again! Thank you!
