10/10 Excellent

"The room was fun and well laid out. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The bar offers some interesting cocktails. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. Great location to get around the city from both on foot and public transit."

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Downtown Ottawa East by IHG

2/10 Terrible

"First time at Holiday Inn, the room had the furnace and kept making noise 24/7. There was no water service in room, usually in other hotels they at least have water bottles, we had to wait until we ordered water bottle through Uber Eats. In the morning there was toothpaste, once called, at 6 am had to go to office to pick up toothpaste!!!! Terrible experience while paying the same amount we usually pay for hotel Embassy suits!! Plastic plates for breakfast- dollar store that can’t even carry food weight. Not recommending anyone or will never booking this hotel, can’t believe this hotel is exist in Canada with such terrible treatment, even 3rd world countries have better treatment or even some motels have better services! At least they would provide water and toothpaste, which is very much expected when you pay this much for a hotel. Terrible and terrible experience while paying!!!"

"When i saw all the bad reviews on google and a score of 2.7, I thought no way its that bad but its really just that bad. Room has not been cleaned for the two days we were there despite us calling down to front desk to ask for it. Terrible bed sheets and covers. Constant sound from the AC unit. How in tarnation does it have 4 stars as a hotel is beyond me… AVOID!!"
