"Our room, though very compact, was clean and the bed comfortable. No mirror in the bedroom area; only in the bathroom. Bathroom was clean and sufficient but very thin towels and the toilet seat was cracked/peeling. Our biggest complaint was the breakfast. Offerings were minimal and some was inedible fruit and with an hour to go in the breakfast timing there was very little left. "Across the street from a great section of the beach- staff here were fantastic. Little hiccup with the reservation through expedia, but it got sorted right out with no stress. Rooms are clean, bed was suoer comfortable, and honestly of all things the shower was a family favorite! Will absolutely book here anytime we come to York again in the future!"

"Beautiful room and the best view and sounds of the ocean. Great restaurant underneath. I’m an early riser but it is really noisy starting first thing on the morning. Traffic and deliveries. If you like privacy in your deck ask for the 3rd floor."

"I was told there are a lot of overdoses there. It is a hard place to stay if you are trying to sleep, work, read, or really do anything productive. Very loud clients that stay up late and I even think my neighbor (who was smoking a joint in front of my door when I showed up) got a hooker. Overall terrible experience."

"For the price it was decent for a quick passing through. Room was clean but had off putting smell about it. Pool was not maintained. There seemed to be multiple more permanent residents living at the motel that were hanging out smoking outside our door. Friendly but off putting."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Trident Inn. We needed a dog friendly hotel as we were bringing our dog and they were so hospitable. All the staff was very kind, our room was spacious and very clean. The pool is salt water and they have a bar right off the pool with delicious drinks. Very close and easy walk into town. We would definitely stay again!"

"Very friendly and efficient check-in/check-out processes. Front-desk staff extremely helpful. Rooms were great in an excellent location to explore historic Portsmouth on foot. Random staff in hallways were courteous and always had a pleasant "hello". Can't speak highly enough about the staff."

"Hotel is very well located. Near beach, shops, coffee shops, the Marginal way. Breakfast is extremely minimal- nothing fancy. Rooms are very outdated - I did not feel the sheets were cleaned properly, carpet in rooms is a huge no no for hotels. Parking is good and staff is helpful upon arrival"
