"I chose the Grand Daddy for the convenience of location and it's overall heritage/funky vibe. As it was our first visit to Cape Town, we were unaware of how "lively" Long Street is! Unfortunately, there was also a party within the hotel on the night we had a 4:30 am flight. I assume this happens often as earplugs were left in the room. If you are interested in the party scene, this is the place to be. The staff was wonderful, the Hotel was very clean and our room itself was comfortable....

"We stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions: 2/21-2/23 and 2/28-3/1, that is, before and after our Garden Route Tour and Safari. For our first stay, the staff was kind and accommodating. The night guard recommended an excellent nearby restaurant open late. The devices and power outlets in the room were functional.
