"The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars."

"The Fig Tree Hotel was set near to popular coastal amenities and the old Shanklin village with its thanked cottage charm. A conveniently central position for beach and countryside, betwixt Carisbrooke Castle and Osbourne House. "Great place, a very old property that needs serious money spent on it. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We had two breakfasts and an evening meal, the restaurant was like a geriatric ward, I'm 67 and I reckon I was the youngest there, luckily the staff are (I'm sure) trained in caring for the elderly It's not as grand as you might think"

"A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou."

"Room too hot. I booked with twin beds, but the room was with double bed! The receptionist asked us at 22pm if we want another room. Only a fan in the room, couldn’t sleep much as it was too hot during the night. The room was near the main hallway door, so other visitors were going g up and down making noise going through that door all night. Also noises of people waking on the next floor, our room ceiling was trembling from time to time during the night. First time in this hotel, no room view,...

"No door key as all digital, had to use phone which is ok but only gives access to 1 person. Shower temperature was luke warm at it's hottest, shower gel dispenser didn't work. Also the air-conditioning didn't work, had to use the fan instead. Room was noisy due to the adjacent pub."

"The hotel was great the air conditioning could not cool the room off enough for our liking during the heat dome we experienced. The breakfast was very nice the restaurant was imho over priced for what you got and the younger staff could have smiled and been a little friendlier."

"A relaxing feel runs through the hotel and out into the gardens. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Herons love it too! The staff were smiley and attentive, Our room was clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We made use of the spa facilities every day. The pool temperature was great for us."
