"The check-in staff was very pleasant and welcoming. However, the check-out experience was not as good. I tried to have a conversation about my concerns, but the staff member was dismissive and acted like my concerns were not her problem. On a positive note, Nicole at the bar was wonderful. She was friendly, smiling, and very inviting, which made my experience better. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable, but because of the customer service during check-out, I would probably not stay...

"There is adequate parking. The motel is very similar to a UK Travelodge, and carers for those who want a 'no- frills ' stay. We were visiting family who do not have room for us, and therefore just wanted a base. Breakfast is cereal, fruit and a muffin, and tea and coffee. Rooms are clean and reasonably well maintained."

"Was surprised to lesrn front desk wanted me to get my license plate info after i did so online. Was disappkinted to be told i had to park my 15ft aluminum fishing boat off to the side instead of in front of our room. I didnt feel it was secure. Gent at desk said its very secure. Signage in parking areasaid not respocible for stolen items in parking area. Double message. ContinentalBreakfast was just mediocre at best. IHOP was very good."

"So disappointed in what they have done to this once beautiful hotel. It had so much personality. Not now. It is now a Comfort Inn and it looks awful. The room was clean but no coffee maker. The worst part is you could not use the hallways in the morning to go to breakfast. You had to go outside to get to the breakfast area. Glad it wasn't winter. The staff were great. It's not their fault. Won't be going there again."

"This place was filthy and run down. The hallway walls were scuffed and dirty, the rugs were dingy, the room was disgusting. The bedskirts, rug, walls, and curtains were stained. It smelled like an ashtray covered up with 500-year-old Febreeze. Despite being a no-smoking facility, the area around side doors were covered in cigarette butts. I was afraid to look for bedbugs. There was an air of ennui and depression. If I hadn't been too tired to continue driving I would have asked for a refund and...

"We checked in to find bugs in our room crawling all over the entertainment center. We notified the front desk and we check out right away. We were told we would have too wait till monday for see if we could get a refund. Also left us having too put out more money for another place to stay."

"Can't recommend Hawks House more highly! Steve provided a wonderful welcome, the room was clean and relaxing, the inn surrounded by green space. Fresh coffee and banana bread ready before 7 every morning. Just lovely in every way. "
