"We loved our stay. The room was clean modern and comfortable, the location was central the bed was comfy, the black out curtains were effective. My only caution is beware if you’re a light sleeper or affected by noise since you’re right on a central pedestrian street with lots of bars and restaurants. Didn’t bother us one bit since that was what we were looking for and the location couldn’t be beat."

"Alfred’s Apartments turned out to be a brilliant last-minute find after I accidentally made a complete mess of my previous booking. The location was absolutely terrific — right in the heart of Reykjavík and ideal for exploring the city. The apartment was spotlessly clean, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and having a small kitchen was an absolute lifesaver. Given Reykjavík prices, where even a bowl of soup can set you back nearly $20, being able to prepare the occasional meal made a real...

"I loved this place. It was in the perfect neighborhood. Much bigger than I even expected. I’m used to small spaces in Europe. Plenty of room to walk around we had three adults two children. It is loud at night. There’s a bus stop out front and you can hear the buses and people talking loudly but that did not bother us if you like quiet not the place for you, but we thought it was perfect. I love being able to walk around and go to restaurants and shops. It did get a little warm in the apartment....

"Stayed eight nights at Saga Studios and used it as our Reykjavik base the whole trip. While in town I was able walk to all the shops. Good place to stay if your keeping within the city."
