"This property is all about the location. If you want a remote feeling near the ocean, it's fantastic for that. There really isn't anyone on the property to ask questions to (at least that we found). The rooms are not sound proof, so hopefully you're neighbor is quiet, but we could hear furniture being moved and footsteps. There is a small fridge in the room and an electric kettle, but no access to a kitchen or microwave. There's heat, but no A/C (which is normal for Iceland, but the windows barely open, so we had to prop open the door to the room each night to get any decent cooling. A floor fan would have been nice to move air. We had a south facing room, so maybe other rooms were cooler. It's a unique place to stay and we enjoyed it. We went into town for breakfast and coffee each morning. "

"Beautiful spacious rooms, the service here is excelent we had a very friendly receptionist check us in and offered a wakeup call if the northern lights showed up. Its so far the best cost to value ratio hotel ive stayed in iceland, great for birding if you like that. Hot tub is only open from 4pm to 10pm but it is geothermaly fed. Food in the resturant is fantastic, breakfast was great theres a mimosa bar thats included with breakfast. "

"This property gave me and my friends the space we needed after traveling together so long. 2 toilets are life saver and rooms were big and clean. I would rent this place out with my family and friends again. "

"Beautiful location and very clean/quiet facility that is unique and interesting. Only drawback is that there is a garbage mill near by which is very odorous in the evening/night, and the building is showing some signs of aging "

"We stayed 3 nights as a family of four with two young kids and loved it. Spacious, clean apartment with a handy kitchenette and shared laundry. Free parking was a huge plus — no downtown parking hassle — and it’s just a 10‑minute drive to the city. Grocery store right across the street made meals easy. Perfect base for exploring Reykjavík and beyond!"
