"This hotel bills itself as more of a travelers hotel, but in reality functions as a regular hotel. I was very happy with my choice to stay here as opposed to in downtown Reykjavik away from the city. We just drove down when we needed to. While the hotel restaurant menu doesn’t change, what is offered is meticulously prepared. The desserts are particularly extraordinary! Best thing about this hotel is the hot tub. A blend of about 40C temperature with cool ocean air. Perfect way to end a long day...

"We were in room 1 - it was very large. Two sofas three bedrooms three bathrooms and a large kitchen. The warm air hit us as we walked in the door - very nice. No awful sprays or other bad odors. It was just what we needed including a washing machine to clean the baby clothes. I recommend staying here. It is a very practical and comfortable place. Papa’s pizzas and fish and chips is near and has good food. Other sights are close by and not busy."
