"Very big room and bathroom, lots of room to spread out. Good food at the restaurant for a good price considering Iceland prices, however part of the hotel is currently being remodeled so expect some construction "

"We had a great stay at Viking Studio during the beginning of our trip around Iceland. It was the perfect place to rest and recover after a long flight before starting our journey. The studio was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We especially appreciated having a fridge, microwave, and dishes in the room, which made our stay much more convenient. There was also a shared kitchen area for guests with a machine where you could make coffee or hot chocolate. Overall, it was a very cozy and practical place to stay, and we would happily recommend it to anyone starting their Iceland trip."

"Just about everything in Iceland is expensive, including the hotels. Our room was very small and bathroom even smaller. It was clean, but you could tell it needed some updating, like the wallpaper of a rock wall.. Breakfast buffet was good and it is very close to the airport."

"You can't find a better place for the price near the airport. The breakfast is light but the coffee is good. We stayed at the hotel twice both coming into Iceland and then coming back from Ireland and we were very happy and the stays were consistently good. The town has excellent but expensive restaurants. Pretty consistent with the rest of Iceland. Would strongly recommend the library, hotel KEF, as well as mamma Mia's. The microbrewery Olverk, an hour east was also excellent. Looking forward to heading back later in the year for a more extended stay with trips east! "

"Good location. Several eating options to walk to. Close to airport Clean room. Comfy mattress and quality linen. Airport shuttle needs to be called for ahead of time so owner explains they only have a few minutes to wait at airport. Messages not returned from hotel .So booked taxi!!! Airport shuttle OK for drop off on check out."

"I’m accepting of a lot of issues with hotels I book. And it sounds like you are nice people when you respond to comments. So here is my experience at hotel Duus. First we received no instructions on entry to the hotel or rooms. So upon arrival we couldn’t get in until another person staying there let us in. Thankfully there was a phone with information. The code did not work to our room so after several attempts we had to be let in remotely. We arrived late in the day. The building looked abandoned and was pretty dirty outside. I actually would have walked away at that point but was too tired to find another hotel. It only got worse when we got in. It was dark and dirty. The carpet was particularly disgusting. The elevator didn’t work. The booking said sea view. It was parking lot view with a boulder wall in front of the sea. Do not book any of the rooms 101-103. Upper rooms may be better. There is no breakfast. The restaurant was not open on Tuesday morning. I would have been less annoyed if only the outside and common areas were clean, not a difficult task for the management. From other reviews many found Duus a great hotel. Me not so much."
