"We enjoyed our stay at Crosswinds. Located just a short walk (9 minutes) to the beach and boardwalk, it’s close enough to the food and cultural attractions. The check-in was unusual in that there’s no front desk, the lobby area is locked, and you have to call a number to get a code for your room at check-in. But maybe lots of smaller hotels/motels are opting for contactless check-in and I’m just not used to that process. However, it was smooth once it starts. Just remember to have a charged phone nearby to gain access. Overall, we liked the room. However, we were there for four nights and no one came to clean our room. The fridge didn’t work when we arrived, so we called the same number as check-in, and they sent someone over within ten minutes to troubleshoot and fixed the problem. So we were pleased with Crosswinds and would recommend it for stays like ours. Also, excellent air conditioning so that was also a huge plus in the dog days of August."

"A hotel that felt safe, parking was included in room fee and was available, had an active pool and had present staff. Room was standard. Would have been nice to have a broom and dustpan to clean up all the sand. Vents in bathroom appeared to need cleaning. Otherwise, the room and property were acceptable. Would stay here again."
