"This place doesn't exist.It's an abandoned house with the windows broken out and the door's hanging off the hinges. It should not be listed. I'm fighting to get my money back as we speak."

"Well, at about 1 AM I get a guy trying to get into my room. I shoo him away. A few minutes later, a security guard comes up. Wakes me up again. I give him my name, and thought I don't get another knock at the door, I can't sleep the rest of the night. I was hoping at a minimum there would haver been an apology. Nothing. "Check in was extremely slow. Each group ahead of us took 15 minutes each. We only booked this hotel due to it having a kitchen. The pictures include a 2 burner induction stove top. The room had cabinets and draws but not 1 utensil, pot, pan, plate, bowl or anything to cook or eat with. Was told but the front desk that this is because they have no way to sanitize. The listing for the hotel is very misleading. My 1 night stay should be refunded."

"I don't know if I will visit Anchorage again, but it would be worth a trip just to stay with the Deals. They came to Alaska in 1964, just after the earthquake, and they have many fascinating stories to tell. Such lovely people! Besides which, our room was beautiful and spotless, breakfast was great, plenty of parking if you have a car, very convenient location."

"Our toilet wasn't working when we arrived. They said they were sending someone up, no one came. The best they did was offer for us to use the restroom down stairs in the lobby, weren't compassionate at all! We asked for another room and we didn't even get a response!"

"The check in and check out was smooth. The location of the hotel is very good - in the center of downtown. There is a cafe on the 1st floor of the hotel. Our standard room was on the 1st floor, but actually it was below the ground level. The window looks at the parking lot fence in a foot from it.. The sound proof is bad. You can hear all movements and toilet flashing of the people from the rooms above yours. There are no drawers for the clothes,"

"The location is about a 15 min walk to everything. It sits right next to the train station, which is great for those traveling by train. Just think about noise (which was actually not bad at night). They offered shuttles to the train station and airport. Very helpful. Front desk had issues with scheduling them and placed our reservations on a post-it. My 930p shuttle ultimately picked me up almost 20 mins late. The hotel itself is not the cleanest or the best maintain. There was dust...

We stayed at the puffin Inn across the street earlier in our Alaska vacay and while that was leaving a bit to be desired, we would much prefer being over there in the end. The hallway carpets of the Wyndham were dirty, there was a stain on our room carpet like wax or something else, the handle on the bathroom faucet fell off and the soap dispenser in the shower was broken and had dirty handwritten labels on them.
