"We have stayed at this hotel multiple times when visiting the University of Iowa. It’s a budget hotel so there’s nothing fancy about it, and they say they’re a short walk to campus, which isn’t accurate, you do need to drive. This last stay we had a non smoking room that had been smoked in and instead of moving us to another room, they simply came and sprayed a freshener in the room. Not very helpful. "So the bed was clean, every thing else was used up and stained. Makeup smudges on the hairdryer, which made me wonder about other surfaces. Room smelled like someone had cooked something fragrant in there, could only open the window 6” to try and air it out. Fine for a quick stay, it was quiet and well priced, perfectly mediocre."

Very good bed and linens, consistently good breakfast every day, clean bathroom and shower (more towel bars/hooks would be nice), quiet most of the time. Convenient parking. Public areas could be cleaner. A guest washer & drier would be nice, but there's a good 24-hour laundromat nearby. Pleased to see fire sprinklers everywhere, a safety feature every hotel & motel should have. Definitely a no-frills...

My only complaint was the shower. Worst shower ever. Little to no water pressure coupled with the extreme soft water was a horrible combination trying to wash our hair and feel like it was rinsed clean. Just a horrible shower.
