"The best part about the stay is the staff that made it welcoming and safe. This is my 2nd stay in this hotel.
Upon arrival in the lobby, i was greeted by my name by the manager, Ivanka (Zhang Lin). She recognised me from my previous stay and email correspondence. I’ve stayed in several hotels in various countries but this is the first time i was greeted by my name upon entering the lobby before providing any identification.
The attention to detail is amazing, every note and request mentioned in my email has been acknowledged and met. Ivanka said that she remembered my flight arrival timing and came out to welcome me. This is crazy good service since I’m just a regular hilton member.
The room was better than the one in my previous stay, granted there were some minor issues since this is a really old hotel. The staff made the stay enjoyable. Everyone always greets you with a smile whenever you enter the hotel premise.
Since it is still considered winter, the central aircon was turned off. However, an air cooler is provided to us throughout the stay on request. The staff also made sure to fill the air cooler with ice and cold water near the evening (outside of housekeeping hours) so that the room is cool enough throughout the night. Ivanka and the team is really meticulous. This is probably the best service i’ve ever gotten in my entire decade of travelling.
The bar is set so high I’m not sure if i can ever stay in a different hotel in beijing."
