"Great location beautiful town and views and wonderful staff to top it off"

"We booked for one night, and were looking forward to using the spa facilities. When we arrived, we were told that they were shut for refurbishment. Apparently, this work has been going on for some time. I was told an email had been sent out. I did not receive any email. The hotel has a duty to let people know such things, so they have a choice of changing their plans. I noticed a lot of unhappy people that weekend. They are not afraid to charge top prices, and yet offer very little in return."

"We only stayed for one night, but what a great experience. The hosts, Ann and Michael were wonderful. They waited for us (we checked in late), gave us good suggestions for a quick dinner in town. We decided to have breakfast with them the next day and that was soooo worth it. Amazing spread and choices of food. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone."

"The room was small but workable. The door is an old fashioned key from both sides type with no other means to lock the door from the inside. The first bath towel I got literally fell apart but the 2nd one was the softest I’ve ever had at a hotel. Restaurant was good and they poured a good pint. The walls are quite thin so it’s a little noisy. "

"The room was clean and tidy The bathroom was good but had two cracked tiles Biggest drawback was NO air conditioning the room was cooking, even though there was a fan in there Breakfast was a bit of a let down Eggs was dry, bacon was greasy and had been sat there for a while They could do better.. the food in the evening was ok but the chef seamed to burn a lot of things.. mostly the pizzas The staff were great The hotel was lovely, me and my wife would definitely stop there again And...

"Beautiful public areas. The restaurant was good but no coffee before 8 AM available. Hotel room furniture is very dated but clean and if you are only sleeping in the room and not there, all day it is fine. Staff was very, very friendly and helpful."
