"This is a tricky review to write as some things about Sweetfield Manor were very good but others were not. Firstly, the place advertises itself as a 5 star boutique hotel, boutique is correct, 5 star definitely not. The room itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with an excellent shower room. "My husband and I recently stayed at the Hilton Barbados Resort, and overall, the experience was average at best. There was confusion over where to eat on the property. we went to eat at the beach restaurant and it was closing so they sent us to the restaurant in the building where we could only get a buffet. there was only 1 elevator and it was not working part of the day and we were on the 4th floor. Very confusing layout of rooms as there are different levels and staircasses to access the rooms. Nice beach area. "

"We booked last minute due to a flight cancellation, the owner and onsite property manager were lovely to deal with and accomodated us. We were given clean sheets and 2 towels and the bed was made. It was comfortable, the pullout divan was stained and not comfortable, those things typically are not. The place had not been cleaned and there was no handsoap and little toilet paper. "Perfect location, right at the beginning of the Gap strip. The staff were so sweet, personable & accommodating. The hotel itself is dated but it is CLEAN with a beautiful sunset view. "I had an overnight stay that was planned last min. I originally planned to stay two nights but realized that it was just not for me - ( I had originally came from the popular tourist area and needed to backfill two nights ) although they realized it was just not my style both hosts went above and beyond to accommodate me as much as possible and even worked to get me a refund for the next night - the place is lovely and quiet and perfect for anyone looking for just that! "
