"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tickled Trout. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. Our room was lovely . It was really warm when we were there as it was in the middle of a heatwave. We took a fan with us although they did say there were some available. There was a small window in our room which looked out onto a fairly busy road so could be quite noisy if window was open. "We stayed at Days Inn by Wyndham Maidstone from 25–27 June 2026 and had a very upsetting experience. We were abruptly woken at 2:30am by a fire alarm and given inconsistent explanations (first an insect, later smoking). The lack of clear communication and reassurance left us feeling very unsettled, and we were unable to sleep for the rest of the night. Throughout our stay, service was poor and disorganised. "The location of the hotel was in the middle of a highway but I get it that's on me I should've checked but the fact that they called me when my food was ready and told me to pick it up from reception was really surprising as I've never experienced this before in any hotel doesn't matter if it's 1 star or 5 star... The rooms were really clean and the people at reception were really nice as well but they should have someone who can deliver food to your room ."
