Nice and bright room, small, but unique , it had a stone wall and fire place. We stayed 4 nights, no room service, but we didn’t find it a problem. For extra coffee, we went to the hotel reception in next building and ask for it. The location of the hotel was the most important. The hotel is very close to all tourist attractions. The hotel has no elevator, you have to take the stairs. We would stay there again.The price was right and the location fantastic

Check in is at a different location just a few doors away and not clearly stated. So some guests were a bit confused and there is no reception desk at this hotel so if you need help with your bags, you’re on your own. But the location is great and our room was nice. So we were quite happy.

Perfect location in Vieux Quebec. Free breakfast at Sagamite restaurant was ideal. I would say the property while historical probably needs some upkeep and better cleaning. Anyone with mobility issues should avoid staying here - lots of stairs and they are steep.

The photos on the Expedia website looked attractive and the price was in our budget range. We liked the neighbourhood - it's charming and close to all the attractions in Old Quebec. There isn't a restaurant in the building but there are lots of good options nearby. The wifi worked well. There are no staff on site, so be prepared to hunt them down in an adjoining building In our room, the furniture was shabby. There were no bedside tables - just a log stump (not kidding) on one side of the Queen bed. The other side of the bed was so close to the wall that it was impossible to get in or out on that side. The shower was tiny and had nowhere to place toiletries. The bar fridge rattled and hummed. There weren't enough pillows. Walls were paper thin - we could hear folks talking at normal levels in nearby rooms. I hope this was the worst room in the hotel. It would be nice if some of the rooms came close to the charm shown in the online photos.

Room was very dirty, dusty, with hair in the shower, crumbs everywhere. They only offered us 30$ back and the desk person was very rude. We had to ask to talk to the manager to get a different room and they didnt give us any money back. Also breakfast is NOT included.

When I arrived the room seemed fine but I quickly realized that there was one towel for one person and there were 2 of us.. The sink was blocked, the toilet drains with difficulty, there was blood on the bed comforter, the small room fridge does not seal as it should so the temperature does not stay... Oh and the TV cable did not work so nothing for entertainment in the evening... What about parking? There simply is none. I find the price paid versus what I received as service very confusing and annoying. I do not recommend this place.

A Cost-Friendly Quebec Option

The hotel is older, didn’t have an elevator, and the furniture was certainly older. That being said, it is in a tremendous location inside the walls of the city. The king bed was very comfortable, a very tasty breakfast was included each morning, the internet connection was strong, and the price was far below what other hotels were charging for what was still high season weather-wise. A no frills option that is perfect for travelers who plan to spend their time in this spectacular city out and about.

The hotel itself was in a great location, but there are probably better options. It was a great price though. IT was a little loud at night as you can hear the pipes banging in the wall. We could also hear a rodent (likely a rat) chewing in the walls, but it stopped eventually. Great location and fairly clean room, but not somewhere we would stay again.

Half of all the light bulbs were burnt.After asking only one was replaced. Fridge was warm and unplugged. TV doesnt work. Hairs were found in the bathroom, a lot of dust. The hallways havent been vacuumed in a long time. Won't be back

Not what I expected from the pictures

Unfortunately this was not what I expected, I guess it was because it was a busy week in Quebec but I got a room in a basement with no Wifi and when I tried to change rooms they had no availability. There was no amenities in the room except for a tiny soap and the bathroom door was hanging so it was very complicated to open, no iron in the room, some towels were dirty, so I would say it wasn't a pleasant stay. Luckily I was there only for one single night. Although it was the cheapest hotel for that night, I don't think the value for what I paid was worth it.

I would include several feedback here, but the most important point is the lack of service and reliability. My experience has not been good. The main complaint is that booking was made for 6 days with breakfast included. Breakfast was not included on one of the days, and the restaurant assured us that the hotel will issue a refund. I spoke to the person at the front, and she assured me that I would receive a $25 refund for the breakfast for my family that day. So far, no refund has been received. I have contacted the hotel two times, and I have not received an answer from them. Very disappointing. I am trying to find a solution via Expedia, since the booking was made through them, and they are telling me to deal with the hotel directly. Very disappointing from Expedia as well.
