"Room was clean and basic with good shower in the bathroom. Relatively small room with dated decor and could do with a refresh. functional and adequate if you just need a bed for the night. Adjoining pub is nice inside with outside terrace and local beer brewed onsight. Quick taxi or 15 minute walk from the centre of Ashby De La Zouch. Really nice engaging staff"

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome – a special mention to Holly, who was absolutely fantastic and made such a difference to our stay. "After many years of attending this well appointed hotel finally i got an upgrade. The hotel is well situated for walks along Shakespeare's smug Trent. The Burton Bridge Brewery is over the road. Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town. Parking my confuse some as the hotel is on an island. Check during winter for flooding which can close the old bridge. Popular during the towns annual...

"Excellent bar downstairs which was very clean and looked very attractive. Room itself was quirky and large. Had everything needed , warm , comfortable although only thing I didn’t care for was the pillows. A little too hard for me but everybody is different We didn’t eat in hotel as we were meeting with friends but looked very nice . "
