"This is the second of recent stays we have been in very dated rooms, first visit no hot water and this time the cold water tap on the bath didn't work at all! Spoke to manangement who said we should have called maintenance, however at 7.30am and with 2 dogs who would bark and wake other guests not a considerate option! should have worked in the first place! Manager did suggest he would contact me after we left but so far he has not! Not sure we will stay again now, very disappointing as we have stayed there many times in the past!"

"Very pleasant staff, nice food for evening meal and breakfast, reasonably priced evening menu (we had the fixed price menu). Room was large, felt cold when we arrived but that was due to the radiators being switched off. Once they were on the room warmed up very nicely and quickly. Room felt a little dated but nothing too bad, could do with a little fresh coat of paint. Our room (5) was also above the main bar area, think this might apply to all the rooms and we could hear the conversations quite clearly from below. So if you are a light sleeper and want to go to bed before closing time this might affect you. Overall, I was happy and would return for an overnight stay and food. "

"A disaster from the get go, first there was no one at reception, none of the three numbers displayed on the reception door were answering. After many attempts we managed to get though to someone who literally said he was unable to help us. After half an hour of wait and worry, a young lady passed by and whom we asked for assistance. Thankfully, even though she wasn't a member of staff, she manged to direct us to a room (room17) and provided us with towels. The whole room was dirty and there was an obvious lack of upkeep as there were cobwebs everywhere, the bathroom door would not open nor close hence a lack of privacy. To make matters worse we were rudely awaken at half past midnight, with very heavy banging on the door by the supposed owner who unprofessionally demanded to know who we were and that we were in the wrong room. when nobody was there to reception us in the first place. The second night was not much better, this time there was door banging on next to us round 5am then they proceeded to carry out some works round 6. All in all a terrible experience and we never once ended up seeing a member of staff. I shall be grateful if you could guide us to were we could log in a complaint as I would like a full refund"
