"We had a fantastic stay at Black Bear Lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning wooden interior that gives it a real mountain lodge feel. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was ideal too, tucked away in a quiet setting but only a short drive from local shops, restaurants and other amenities. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"The room was clean and very cute however there was no one at the front office when we got there and their maintenance man saw us in the parking lot asking for our contact info without ever telling us who he was. He was trying to be helpful but I except someone to be available at the office upon check in. In addition there was work being done in the room above us and all kinds of of banging happening until 11 at night and then again starting at 6 AM"

"The room was very dirty and smelled quite bad. Whoever cleaned the room after the last guest didn't do a satisfactory job. The shower was not cleaned, had very weak water pressure and was approximately 2' x 2'. It was a one night stay, so I didn't bother to complain to the manager, but it was not a pleasant stay."

"The only thing I liked about this lodge was that it was nearby to the main south lake tahoe. Other than that its very expensive for poor conditions of the bathroom and overall property. Don’t make me even talk about breakfast. It was nothing but waffle and some frozen breakfast sandwich. Coffee was really bad with just one big bottle of sweet creamer. The breakfast place and lobby is combined and can get really crowded. People were leaving coz there was literally no place to sit. If you are...
