"The first night of our stay our room temperature was quite warm (hovering around 26), but we were too tired to deal with it. The second day it reached 28C which was uncomfortably hot. We called the front desk for the first time around 1pm and asked for someone to come check our thermostat - nobody came. "I booked for 3 nights. I was given room 407. It was very noisy. There was a lot of banging of doors in the night. The doors are heavy and make a noise when they shut. The floors are wooden and noisy when other travellers are about. I complained and was transferred to room 207, which was better. "We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Birks Montreal. The lobby is beautiful and the smell absolutely fabulous. The hotel is well located, the rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are modern. Our room was on the 6th floor with a city view, it was surprisingly quiet, we slept very well. The bathrobes are luxurious but we’re surprised that there were no slippers. We took advantage to have drinks at the bar before going out for dinner and then had breakfast on our last day."

The balcony has a great view of Mountain street. The rainwater shower was exceptional . My nephew Joseph loved the birthday cookies ( very kind). Can't recommend your Hotel enough. "This is a beautiful - beautiful - new property in a lovingly restored heritage building. Our apartment was stylishly minimalist and had everything we needed. I was sad we only had two nights there. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Sauna and gym also nice. Right in Old Port and walkable to Eaton/Underground shopping. I WILL be back!"

"Great room, newly renovated. There was still a smell of freshly painted walls, and it’s impossible to open tge windows. But it will pass. Shower a little bit close to the toilet for my taste and flush was a little bit tricky. But overall very nice. Pool was still closed. Breakfast was really good and well served (I took the advocado toast). Staff was really nice and helpful"
