"Please be aware that this hotel has been taken over by OYO.
If I’d have known this prior to booking I wouldn’t have proceeded to book.
I thought we were booking the Mecure but on arrival it was evident that OYO have taken over this hotel.
The room was dirty and tired.
Asked for a new room but they had none available.
The only plus point was that the Young lad on reception was helpful and understanding and this wasn’t his fault.
But for the price we paid for the room it was unacceptable."

"Now it's been refurbished it's a good hotel right in the heart of the city. The discount to park the car at Q Car Parks is very helpful. Room was very well maintained with fully functioning AC after a very hot week. One point, it's only a point not a criticism, we always like to have the windows open and breather a sigh of relief when we find a hotel that allows this. "The property is in a run down part of Nottingham and quite difficult to find. There was a small sofa in the room with lots of stains, one of the lights in the bathroom didn't work and there is on opening window which made the room feel very clastrophobic.
Its not terrible value for money but had it not been for the test match in Nottingham, I would have felt the price too high."
