"If you are going to Mackinaw City, you really should stay on the beach. The Hamilton Inn was affordable, clean and best of all, right on the beach. There was also an indoor pool in case of bad weather, but we did not use it. Breakfast of scrambled eggs and waffles was available. It was hot and delicious. I did wish there were amenities like a lounge or restaurant, but there were lounges within a 3 block radius that were walkable, even for us senior citizens. "

"Quaint property on Island. Porters handled all the bags to and from the ferry. Easy to get to everything in downtown. Great prices on bicycle rentals. Great breakfast served in the morning. Only downside was both our room and the friends we were traveling with had our room alarms go off at 6am in the morning. Must have been housekeeping wanting us to get an early start leaving. "
