Juliet and Matthew are wonderful hosts! The property is beautiful and well kept! We were provided with local information such as restaurants and activities upon arrival. The breakfast was lovely! We will definitely be back!

Juliette was an amazing host and was very helpful with ideas of things to do and see in the area. The room and grounds were wonderful and the fresh breakfast in the morning was such a bonus! We were sad to leave and would definitely stay there again.

This is a lovely property, beautifully designed and a joy to stay at. Juliet is a great hostess who is helpful considerate and knowledgeable on the area. The breakfasts are superb and the overall vibe is relaxing and calming. Highly recommend this hotel.

Physis had soo much character and Juliet was beyond helpful - a very graciously kind hostess. It was such a relaxing and exotic place to stay as my introduction to Costa Rica!! I highly recommend it!

We had a lovely time at Physis. The most relevant aspect for us was the fact that we were contacted by the hotel staff before our arrival, a watsap was created for us and we coild easily communicate. Julliet was very welcoming and shared with us important transport contacts and recomendations for the area, this made our life much easier. Cristina (if that is the name) was also very polite and caring.

Matthew and Juliet were very nice and recommended a lot of great places around the area, which was very helpful. The grounds were very pretty with lots of plants and fountains. We saw a poison dart frog. The breakfast, pancakes and french toast, were very good. The grounds and room were very small but the space is utilized as best as possible. Very convenient location.

Great B&B

We stayed for one night; kinda wish we could have stayed more nights with this wonderful couple. We had to leave very early in the morning so she packed us breakfast to go. Room was real comfy. They greeted us with a mixed beverage :) such a nice surprise after a 10 hour road trip that was only 230miles long.

Man sollte wissen, dass die Doppelbetten nur 1.20 breit sind. Wir haben netterweise gegen ein Zimmer mit einem zusĂ€tzlichen Einzelbett tauschen dĂŒrfen. Leider hatten wir immer mal wieder eine Kakerlake im Zimmer. Die kamen aus dem Zimmer neben dem WC, das nicht zu unserer Unterkunft gehörte. Top war die Außendusche und der hĂŒbsch angelegte Innenhof.

Relax at Physis

Highly recommend Physis, Juliet is full of information to share. Unique B&B, very relaxed and chill place to hang out. Rooms were clean, we had the outside shower it was great, big shower plenty of hot water. the place is exactly as seen in the pictures. Go with friends and relax at Physis.

Not Worth Staying At

We only stayed one night even though we paid for three nights. The rooms are on the first floor with the owners living on the top floor. The room had two windows but because it’s a walled in compound you get the claustrophobic feeling of being in an inside room on a cruise or being in a basement room. My wife hated it. So we left and returned to the hotel we had just checked out of the day before. Also the room had many spiderwebs that out in the open. For breakfast the coffee was good but our omelettes were served cold. Overall not a place I would recommend given the price.
