Do not make any reservations thought Orbitz for this hotel because you will not be able to make a cancellation Even if you go to the hotel on person, the staff will tell you that they do it use Orbitz as a booking service and will not cancel or refund your reservation.

The staff and owner were absolutely amazing in every way. They were bartenders, chefs, translators and security all in one. I really appreciated them for everything. Anything i needed, they had me covered immediately. The rooftop bar wasn't open, but who needs a rooftop while in Sosua? The location is great, right next to everything you need....it was overall amazing!!!! Special shout out to my new Domincan brother Andy....he really looked out for me....

Every day, something was missing. Day 1 no toilet paper, day 2 no towels, day 3 NO SHEETS, day 4 safe broken. It seemed like the staff ran the hotel and could not care about the guests, they seemed to busy on thier phones and watching music videos,

Hotel was nice enough. The staff was attentive and friendly. The location was perfect, close to everything worth seeing. It was noisy at times, but I didn't go here to sleep all day. There was an issue getting in contact with the hotel prior to my stay. Also, they no longer have breakfast here.

I never understood why people would take the time to do reviews, but now I understand. I MUST say something. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The hotel is extremely dirty. There is no airport shuttle, as advertised. The rooftop lounge doesn't open. I didn't get a bath cloth. My room was never cleaned by housekeeping and I stayed for 4 days. I asked for another towel for a friend and the employee refused to give me one. They try to charge you for breakfast, although it's advertised to be complimentary. The staff got a hold of my cell phone and refused to give it back to me unless I paid $100 because I used towels to wipe up a mess that my friend made..... they refused to wash the towels and said that I would have to replace them. I ended up sitting in front of the staff and hand washed the towels myself; they then said that they didn't know where my phone was. The telephone number to the hotel is impossible to find. I eventually got into contact with the owner who was in the States during my visit. He actually had some sense but it was tough to get help from him because he wasn't present to witness what was happening. Everything in the room and hotel is filthy. I don't know what many of the other hotels look like but this is not the place to stay. I suggest Casa Valeria! That hotel is very clean, renovated, and the staff is excellent. 1000 times better. Trust me, DO NOT stay at Urban Cabana. I'm thankful that I left without putting my hands on anyone.

Good staff. Close to the action. AC was monimal and I had tonswitch roooms. Hotel manager accommodated me with an extra fan. Bery good group and friendly. I'd stay again.

No more breakfast in the morning? That makesa big difference when looking for a hotel. I have to factor that in with my costs. That's disappointing. Not a bad hotel. Not the best. It's a no frills hotel. You know what you're getting.

Better than expected

Close to everything; bars, clubs, restaurants, beach, banks and just about anything you'll need. Clean, comfortable with helpful, polite and friendly staff. Friendly tip though; download "Google Translate" on your phone unless you speak fluent Spanish as very few people speak English. To summarise; initially I thought I wasn't going to enjoy myself but in the end didn't want to go home, the hotel was perfect.

Location excellent

Was Leary at first but staff very helpful. Air condition and hot water worked. Staff answered questions and very attentive. Would stay again. Can't beat location or staff. Next to several other hotels and close to restaurants

GREAT STAY

I had a wonderful stay, I had a late arrival and check-in so later that morning I asked for a room change to a room closer to the road and a little noisier but that was ok with me because that's what I wanted. My room was cleaned every day and linen changed if I wanted, breakfast included and restaurant an bar prices were very reasonable .......Michael and his staffs are GREAT...........Can't ask for more......

Very nice staff and close to everything

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Everyone was very nice and the breakfast was great! The location is extremely close to the action, about 1 block away. If you are a person that likes peace and quiet every night, this is not for you. If you like to party and can deal with the a little noise (not too loud and only until around 3am - from then to 2pm it's pretty quiet) then you will be fine. The room was a decent size and I recommend the window view to the street, there you can see what is going on outside. I will stay again. Also note, I wouldn't consider this a kid friendly place as there are a lot of provocatively dressed woman looking for single guys.

I had an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, the television in my room did not work. I told the staff several times and was promised to have it fixed, but day after day passed and it was never fixed. After the fourth day reminding them, I stopped mentioning the issue.
