"The rooms were spacious, the buffet breakfast delicious and the staff was very friendly. However, our key didn't work. I had to go to the lobby 7 times for this, which was a hassle. Also, in a 5 star resort there should be some things for kids to play with in the pool and more pampering amenities in the room, beside the obligatory shower cap. Also, a free shuttle to Chania would have been a big advantage. "

"We’ve stayed at Samaria Hotel on many occasions and find it quite charming each visit… The staff are very friendly, often going above and beyond to ensure your stay is wonderful… The pool is a great asset, alongside the on-site enclosed parking area… A block away from the main port of Chania so no need for a car in the evenings if you’re staying close by… Overall a wonderful hotel, with a wonderful location! "The service is excellent. The property is recently refurbished and the freshness of interior and exterior design shine through. The food is decent and there is a good variety. Snack bars operating through out day time with kids favorite food. We really liked this facility. The beach is in the property as well, meaning it's accessible through out the day. "
