"**A lovely, welcoming stay.** The hostess was really friendly, and the room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The location was ideal for the Portsmouth ferry, about a 15-minute walk, with a supermarket, Wetherspoons and plenty of places to eat nearby. The only minor drawback was the temporary breakfast room, which was a little cramped while the main room is being converted. We'd happily stay here again."

"The room was lovely and clean, missing a shelf in the bathroom but otherwise in great condition. We found the mattress to be too hard but the room was quiet with a nice view from the window. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the ships and Gunwharf Quay shops, cheap/free parking was another bonus. We would return to this hotel."
