It is right on the main (only) road going down towards the beach so you have an easy, gradual walk past all the main shopping as well as right next to the main stairs for a fast-track to the beach. "I loved Hotel Montemare. We had a spacious room with a beautiful view and deck. On our deck we had a hot tub, lounge chairs and a patio table. We loved spending time outside on the deck enjoying the views. It did get noisy later at night because there was a hotel bar right above where we stayed. The staff was super friendly. Every spot in the hotel had beautiful views of Positano! We could walk about 350 stairs to the beach area of Positano, which was convenient (and a workout!). The breakfast was super delicious! Amazing location and wonderful experience overall."
