"It is clean but there was a big spider crawling on the bed frame. Asked the receptionist for help they came but they did’t caught it as one of them was more scared than the spider. You can clearly hear the sound of closing door of nearby rooms. So you can wake up with the loud banging noise."

"The property is situated in a great part of Southsea, you can get to the beach relatively quickly and there are plenty of attractions around. The property itself is in need of a spruce up and a thorough deep clean, it feels a bit tired throughout. Our children were wearing light coloured socks and due to the hard floors not being cleaned properly, they were all filthy when we left. For a property that sleeps 10, there is only 1 bathroom which was surprising, especially if everyone is trying...

"Considering the price, we had high hopes for our stay at this house, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival, we found the property was not very clean. There was urine left in the upstairs toilet, the downstairs bathroom was dusty with hair around the toilet, and the bath mat had been folded up while still wet. "Enjoyable two night stay at Esk Vale. Contacted Andy about possible earlier check in, which was no problem & much appreciated. Had a double room en suite with a comfortable bed. Breakast was excellent too, everything cooked to order. Would definitely stay again "

"The staff are good and the hotel is clean. But if you want a decent room which isn't for a hamster, if you want any sort of air con or a fridge then this isn't for you. You need to make more obvious. Pet friendly sort of they let you in and them in the room, not really anywhere for them to go to the toilet and no air con not good for them.."
