"We used this hotel for Amalfi coast visit. Hotel is located well and took about 10 to 15 min by taxi from the train station and the ferry dock. There was no Uber or lyft and we used a local taxi(10 to 20 euro dependingon the traffic). The room looked a bit outdated, but well maintained and clean. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the season, but this facility is the only one provided the mosquito stick vaporizer for the room and the electric mosquito trap in the hallway. "We stayed at this hotel in Cava de'Tirreni, using it as a base to visit the ruins at Pompei. We took a taxi here from the Salerno Train Station and either walked in the historic centre or took a train to go to Pompei. As for the hotel, this is a well-maintained, older style building and is first class. "The hotel is on the coast line and is lovely, rooms could do with a bit of updating. Staff friendly and can speak English. It’s a 15 minute walk up a hill to the town for restaurants and shops - buses don’t seem to run in the evenings. So maybe not a good choice if you have travellers with mobility concerns. "First impressions weren’t great, on arrival receptionist just said ‘Passports’ - no hello or welcome. Other staff friendly and quite helpful. Hotel is nice, but not a great location if you don’t have a car and have to rely on public transport/taxis. The hotel said they offered transfer from train station, but this was not the case. "Great stay, finding the place is a bit of a challenge, don’t rely totally on gps or you’ll drive over a cliff. Bfast was one of the best so far, bed I give a 10 for hardness which includes one pillow. Pool was inviting and friendly. Easy walk down from the Ravello Center, loose a couple pounds going up if you dare."
