Staff are wonderfully friendly and made our stay as we are at our own home. The steak we ate was fantastic along with all the other great hospitality. We would like to come back n the near future!
Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet getaway from the chaos of the tourist spots in Florence. Clean rooms, friendly and attentive staff, and great food served just downstairs. Feels like you’re staying in a home (but with amenities of a hotel). Accessible to public transportation (having a car might be better, though). Plenty of activities to do as well (we did wine & food experience). Great way to just be lazy and lounge around in the winery. We also got to do our laundry during our free time lol overall, definitely recommend!
My husband and I had an amazing time here. The staff was super attentive and the cooking class was super fun and enjoyable with the wonderful chef guiding us through our pasta making. We also had a chance to do some truffle hunting with our little Chihuahua and their resident dog ginger. Will recommend this beautiful vineyard. Thank you for a wonderful experience and stay.
The owner Faye and her staff were simply amazing. We had some car trouble and the staff went above and beyond to help us out. The place, the food, and the view are incredible.
Highly recommend this property and in fact we will be back in August
We absolutely loved our time here. The cooking class, wine tour and pool time were just what we were looking for. And the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.
We visited four very different parts of Italy and our stay at Fattoria Lavacchio may have been our favorite. One important thing to know that was a little tricky to figure out was that you check-in at “Casabella”. The property belonging to Fattoria Lavacchio includes multiple buildings spread along 1km or so of the road. Our room ended up being an apartment about 300m from Casabella (the building in the pictures here with the pool). There was not traditional a/c but we didn’t need it with the fans and air coolers they provided. We also loved sleeping with the windows wide open and no need for screens because no bugs!! Even in the hottest part of the summer!! We love star gazing at night, cooking class overlooking the winery, horseback riding, and dinner on the patio by the pool. We also enjoyed the breakfast with fresh juices and jams made there at Fattoria Lavacchio. They also make their own olive oil. We felt very relaxed and refreshed after our visit there. Wish we could have stayed longer!
The grounds were gorgeous and the staff were very accommodating to food allergies and other requests. Our apartment was lovely. We both wished we had booked a longer stay here because it was such a peaceful part of our trip to Tuscany. The wine tour and hiking came with some stunning views. The bottega is convenient for grabbing food and wine, as well.
Truly magical from the cozy spacious cottage to the feast of organic farm to table meals to the gracious hosts and their attention to all detail. Delightful wine tour with sommelier, Tatsuhiko, was so insightful. Highly recommend if you’re in Tuscany.
We adored our stay here! The rooms were outstanding: clean, charming, gorgeous views. We participated in the wine tour & dinner the night we stayed and highly recommend it. Everything exceeded our expectations. However nothing quite beat the breakfast. Their version of continental breakfast was fresh baked pastries and cakes, fruit from the grounds, fresh juices, home cooked eggs and sausages - it was like being at a friends home for brunch. No hotel breakfast will ever compare!! I would absolutely stay here again if ever I’m in Tuscany again!
This place is so magical I hesitate to write a review so that I can still book this in the future! The villa and grounds are stunningly beautiful. We had outstanding service from all the employees here. The food and wine were 10/10 even the included breakfast! It felt like we were in a movie and had our own private vineyard. I can’t say enough wonderful things - we WILL be back!
The restaurant is amazing and the views are stunning. It is good to know that you will either need to pay 90 euro for a taxi to take you here or have your own car. I went horseback riding for 50 euro and wine tasting for 25 euro. At the right time of year, you can also go on a truffle tour in the forest nearby. Would definitely come back, next time with a car.
Wish we could have extended our stay here!! We only spent one night here and if I could re-plan my trip I would have spent at least another night (or longer if time allowed). The resort is amazing and the property is stunning! It offered amenities that we sadly didn’t have time to explore. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The food was local and tasted wonderful! The wine was fantastic! The pool was beautiful (and cold but this was welcome on a hot day!). My only criticism is that check out was a bit early, at 10am. I don’t think 10am is that early but in our case we didn’t check in until 7:30pm the night before so it would have been nice to have a bit more time. In saying that, we were allowed to use the pool after check out, so this was a bonus!
The staff were so friendly and they really made you feel welcome.
The property was beautiful and overall we enjoyed our stay! The pool and the available excursions made it very enjoyable. Our only criticism is that we we’re originally told the restaurant would be open the first night we were there and it wasn’t. Instead we got a “pizza party” this was fine except the cost was not presented to us prior. The pool was also closed early due to a wedding. It would have been nice to know this prior to our stay because it lead to a bit of disappointment. It would also be nice if they were more up front with the costs of excursions and drinks by the pool. The was also no air conditioning and the rooms were very warm for September. Overall a 4/5, we enjoyed our stay.
This place was absolutely amazing! We had the most peaceful time here and I would be lucky to return. The staff were so kind, the food was delicious and fresh, and the property was beyond beautiful. We loved the wine tour and learning about how all of the food is harvested on site. Feels like we found a piece of paradise, thank you for sharing your home with us!
