I explored the property review prior to booking 2 rooms for my family. We were coming from NC to a family member's funeral. I am a minister and was asked to do the euology. I brought my mother-in-law, wife and daughter with me ( as this was my wife's family). My mother-in-law is very dear to me and 87 years old. She is also disabled. When we checked into the room, we were told that no rooms were near each other but we could be on the same floor. This was troubling but okay. My wife proceeded to get her mom comfortable and tidy the room. Per protocol, my wife examed the mattresses for bed bugs. My wife found very disgusting blood stained mattresses on both made. She took awful pictures ( which we still have) and shared them with front desk. They offered her another room with but it had the same type of mattress problem. We are not complainers; so, we just all slept in one room for 1 night then checked out. We checked out early and went to the Marriott. All of this was extremely stressful for the entire family. Looks like I was also charged for the 1 night stay ( which I do not agree with). I guess that I need to purchase a Winnebago!

The rooms were very nice and updated. Ample space to work. No free breakfast and the breakfast buffet was expensive.

Construction was going on in hotel. We stayed on second floor. Rugs were taken up & in morning heard banging at 8:30. Also, was out the whole night & when we wennt to room no one cme to make our bed & we had no clean towels. On the day we were leaving and wanted to sleep a little late the made came early in the morning and woke us up from knocking on the door. I feel if work was being done we should have been told when reservations were made.

I needed to stay an extra day and the hotel was very helpful to extend the reservation. I always stay at this hotel, very convenient to everything. Clean, quiet, great staff. Great parking.

Nice room but won't stay here again
Quality, comfort and cleanliness of my room was great. However: Cleanliness of the corridors and elevators was surprisingly dirty, chicken wings on the floor no one bothered to pick up and elevators needed vacuuming. Ice machine only worked on 4th floor, very inconvenient. Room doors do not have a "do not disturb" sign and maids came knocking each morning, which served as a reminder of why these "do not disturb" signs are important (did I need to bring my own)? Lobby sold small bottles of water for $3 which is certainly price gouging, and though I didn't pay $20 for the buffet breakfast, my sister did, and told me she didn't think it was worth that price. Finally, the property was undergoing remodel and although they had "pardon our dust" signs around, having to step around construction on the way to our rooms seemed to me that a discount should have been applied. I think the pool was also closed due to this reason, and I didn't have time to use the pool anyway but if I had wanted to I would have been pretty miffed.

Went here with my daughter because she wanted to swim and they have an awesome indoor pool and hot tub. We get there yesterday evening, get dressed to go to the pool, get downstairs and there is an “out of order” sign on the room with the pool! No where on the website did it say this. My daughter was so upset!

The staff were all warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, there were dried blood stains on the rug. The hotel was booked so we didn't even bother to ask for a new room. Outside in the night, there were cars and motorcycles racing; making it difficult to sleep.

Our go-to place when we work on Long Island!
As touring musicians, we travel quite a bit and, whenever we have shows on Long Island, this is our go-to place. Rooms are modern and clean with comfortable beds. Lots of parking and it's surprisingly quiet, which is great! The area has tons of excellent restaurants and amenities (supermarket, etc.) and is right off the highway so it's easy to get pretty much anywhere. Highly recommend!

My stay at Hilton Garden Inn Melville was amazing! The rooms were clean, and they had free housekeeping every single day. Upon arrival, the young lady at the front desk, Mia, was very welcoming. She made my stay there more enjoyable. She attended to my every need, and explained everything thoroughly. If I'm ever in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there. I definitely recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Melville.
