"Easy place to check into and the staff was all very nice and helpful. It was a last minuet booking due to an issue with the train system, so we were quite relieved to find somewhere to check in at 19:00. The problem was the cooling system, the room was excessively hot when we arrived. We asked the staff and they said they could adjust temperatures and to come back in an hour. "This is a charming old palace with lots of personality and the staff all were excellent. It was a welcome overnight refuge from Pisa after our plane was cancelled. Keep in mind it’s primarily a spa hotel with its own rhythms. And the food was delicious if a bit pricey. Also try the gelato shop across the street for the best gelato."
