A great place to stay

Fabulous stay at The White Swan Inn for two nights. Lovely area and only 30 minutes from Whitby along the most amazing road. Hotel was everything we had hoped for, friendly, cozy, great restaurant, bar and atmosphere. Lovely fires welcomed you back after a chilly day. Room was comfortable, clean and lots of tea and coffee and water available. Breakfast was amazing too. Lovely team

We had 5 nights in late October to revisit North Yorkshire. The White Swan was an excellent location to do this.

The property is very old and this is reflecting in the condition of the building. The room we had could do with a few updates. No cold water if you wanted a bath, the water pressure was very slow, and hot water when it did arrive was very poor. The bathroom sink was chipped . The manager was very understanding, and took our comments and gave us our breakfast on the house which was very kind of him.

Very enjoyable stay, and would return. Good food options. Our stay coincided with an England football game that was very noisy in the adjacent conservatory. Though, I appreciate this not a common occurrence.

The Pick of Pickering

Very friendly and helpful staff, very much an old coaching Inn, with modernised facilities, Great Atmosphere, right in the centre of Pickering. A short walk to the North Yorkshire Steam Railway. Very Good quality hearty meals, and a comfortable ensuite room.

Lvely, friendly hotel.

A lovely place to stay in the middle of Pickering, and very handy for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Excellent food and friendly service. If you are less able then we would suggest checking with the hotel beforehand as there are stairs in the main building, and our bath was not easy to get into or out of. Otherwise excellent and will stay again.

We had a lovely room with a separate living area . The staff were all so friendly and obliging and the hotel was close to the NorthYorkshire Moors Railway station at Pickering so walking there took 5 mins. Pickering itself is charming with a good selection of shops and bakeries so there is enough for all tastes. We would return again to the White Swan.

Milli was so helpful when my wife was concerned about getting onto the 4 poster bed and Milli immediately offered us three rooms as a swap. Nothing was a problem. Everything from start to finish was perfect and we will stay again. Also the breakfast was amazing

We only stayed for 2nights on our way back from Scotland but wished we could have stayed longer. All the staff were very attentive and friendly especially Millie, she was great and managed so well under pressure when a member of staff called in sick at short notice. Our room was spotless as was the bathroom and the bed very big and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant both nights and were delighted with the choice and standard of the food. We would not hesitate to recommend The White Swan and hope that we can visit again.
