‘Broken Chair’ on Place des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland 🇨🇭 can be found opposite the United Nations building. I found this sculpture very moving and very much worth a visit. The giant chair with its broken leg was made by Daniel Berset and constructed by carpenter Louis Genève. It symbolises opposition to land mines and cluster bombs.

"What a great hotel! Even though it was close to the airport which is where I wanted to be, it was quiet. And then we just hopped across the street to catch the free tram into the center of the city. So easy! The room was very nice with comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My friend and I were very pleased with the hotel."

"We stayed in one of their new room categories that is a mini-apartment, equipped with a small kitchen and living space. We were there for a week with 4 of us (two parents, two tweens) and this space worked well. They kids slept on the sofa bed which was comfortable, but note the bed and living space are not divided - it's all one room. The bathroom was spacious and newly updated, and the toilet in a separate room. The room was newly renovated and furnished so we were really happy with the condition. There was a small leak in the ceiling one day, but the management was able to have someone fix it while we were out the next day. I'd had hoped for more of an apology for the inconvenience. Location by train station is central - the area is the dirtiest in Geneva, but it's also where most of the affordable hotels are and I also feel safe."
