"Excellent breakfast choices, staff always very attentive if you have special requests. Parking was always easy and available. Room was quiet and comfortable. Will definitely stay again!"

"Booked for one night and paid just shy of £200 for a standard double. The pictures of the hotel and room looked good so was happy to pay,. However, the room we got, room 44 was right at the back of the hotel in the 1980/90's extension, the room was small and tired, particularly in the bathroom where the door has no lock and paint had been knocked off, the ventilation fan also didn't work and wasn't fitted properly. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are friendly. We also ate in the restaurant which was pleasant but we had a 20 minute wait for our drinks. I felt it was expensive for what it was £100 for 2 starters and 2 mains with 2 drinks. For £300 I feel there is better out there. Made my feelings felt on departure and received an apology and assurances my comments will be passed on, won't be returning."

"A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away."

"Meant to be premium room. Disgusting bathroom, filthy mattress over, wobbly mis-matched furniture. Room was stuff even with window open. "
