"Nicola was very helpful with everything. The unit was 3rd floor no elevator…older building; nice renovation . Modern high quality finishes and bathroom fixtures. Big comfortable size compared to London hotel rooms. Did not try the breakfast …. But many restaurant options nearby…Nicola gave us a great restaurant suggestion."

"A lovely continental breakfast with a choice of scrambled eggs and bacon too. A great range of breakfast food too. The kitchen staff are lovely and we had a fantastic dinner in their Michelin guide restaurant. Their selection of wines complements every dish. Our double standard room was a good size, with a modern bathroom. We stayed on the fourth floor with the roof windows as the only source of light. There were several bars nearby and it was a bit noisy at night, so ask for a room on the side. We arrived around 10pm as a group so checking us all into 3 rooms took a while, which wasn't ideal as we were all quite tired after a long journey. But I guess the receptionist did their best. "Good and peaceful base for exploring central Catania. No traffic noise as hotel is on a small cul-de-sac. Rooms are large and bathroom in 321 had a full bath. Staff were helpful and friendly. Aircon in our room was not working . Toilet seat had come loose . Bed was large and firm. Overall a decent space . TV was LG and fairly modern. Only had Italian channels."

The location is perfect very close to city center and easy access to all major attractions and transit. The hotel itself is very beautiful and we enjoyed the breakfast, drinks and time here at hotel and catania. "

"we had a fantastic easter weekend in Catania staying at Lidoro B&B. Breakfast was via a discounted ticket from the host at a lovely local Sicilian Cucina - 2 minutes walk - highly recommend this as very good value and great food / service. The accommodation could not be in a better location, turn right and left and a few hundred yards in front of you is the beautiful Duomo. We absorbed every bit of the Catholic celebrations of Easter - it was an amazing experience. We travelled to Taormina and Syracuse / Ortegia on the train (we found the Italian trains great value and reliable - anyone from the UK - just use the train line app - brilliant and you don't have to validate your ticket). The host was extremely responsive and helpful, his pizza recommendation was excellent ! This was our second trip to Sicily, The accommodation is in a great spot on the second floor of an historic apartment block - it has a lift and is quiet despite being very close to the busiest area in Catania. We would definitely recommend and would stay again if we return to Catania."
