"Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant week. The first couple of days cigarette smoke was coming into our room and eventually got moved to another slightly better room. we then had awfully loud neighbours who seemed to never leave their room but the musi. was so loud it would wake us up at all hours of the night. Admittedly these incidents are beyond the hotel's control; however the way they deal with them is what matters and that's what we had a problem with. Management seem to be never available, nobody is on duty until 7:30 we were told, most staff we encountered at this hotel seemed to not care about anything (except awesome Rachel in the restaurant). There was never any follow up about any complaints, nor explanation as the hotel procedures with guest concerns, even after 6 nights out of seven when security or management was called. Our resort fee, which is silly anyway, was eventually waived but we had to ask for that to be done, not proactively offered. Not a pleasant stay at all, and did not leave feeling like the staff cared at all."

"Breakfast was very good , beach is like 3 mins walk, if u go early to front desk, you can barrow chair for free for the beach. At the lobby you can find drinking Fountain with Bottle Filler Station. Rooms are very clean, soft sheets nice mattresses. "

"The property is well located, and the staff is generally willing to help as much as they can. About a week before my stay, I received a message from the hotel informing me that they would be working on the balconies. Unfortunately, the noise made it difficult to rest, and with workers both outside and inside the balconies, there was no privacy. I had to keep the curtains closed the entire time, so I couldn’t even enjoy the view."

"The Outrigger Waikiki Paradise hotel was perfect . . . Our room was very nice and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier! Plus, the hotel is only a short walk to Waikīkī Beach, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. In addition to a good rate, we received a $50 credit to nearby restaurants, discounted tickets to see a live show, and a complimentary beach bag to carry beach towels and essentials. I definitely recommend. "

"We booked our stay through Hotels.com and for three nights our room leaked through the windows and ceiling. We had a half inch of standing water in the room for three nights and it smelled terrible. Water was leaking on the bed and we had to move the mattress to the living room to sleep. The front desk admitted they had moved someone out of that room the week before for the same reason. Apparently, it is a well known fact that all the rooms in the "14 block" leak. We spoke with a manager that said they were all experiencing severe water damage. I requested a refund from the Aston, and they said I needed to go through Hotels.com. They reassured me they took copious notes and would agree to a refund when contacted by Hotels.com. They have now denied the request."
